“The art of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness means not just adding days to life, but adding life to that child’s day.”

 - Dr. Bob Archuleta, Founder and Medical Director of Noah’s Children

Noah’s Children employees and volunteers work tirelessly to bring comfort and compassionate care to children who are terminally ill and their families. Many of the services provided are not reimbursable, so philanthropic efforts provide essential funding.

The annual black-tie fundraising gala, forty one, features live and silent auctions, live music and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

The book of Genesis tells us that God caused it to rain for 40 days, flooding the earth. A faithful man named Noah followed God’s command to build an ark to protect his family and two of every animal. On the forty-first day, the rains stopped, but many days would pass before the waters ebbed.  Even during the devastation, God did not forget Noah.  But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded. Gen. 8:1

For Noah’s Children, forty one represents a cool wind just after a family has endured the storm of a terminal diagnosis. A reassurance that they are not forgotten. Our hospice and palliative care promise a tomorrow that is not without pain, but also not without the support of others and the steady hand of God.
