bon secours maryview foundation

The spirit of the Bon Secours Maryview Foundation may be embodied in its genesis. When the community came together to raise $1.5 million for the Martha Davis Cancer Center, the Bon Secours Maryview Foundation was created to meet future care needs at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center.

The Foundation raises funds from private and public sources for projects and programs that might not otherwise be provided. As part of its commitment to deliver physical, emotional and spiritual care, the Bon Secours Maryview Foundation supports many initiatives such as:

  • State-of-the-art equipment for The Family Birth Center
  • Maryview Foundation Healthcare Center, serving those without insurance with medical care and pharmaceutical assistance
  • Providing an outreach worker and database computer system at Portsmouth Community Health Center
  • Purchasing medications for individuals within our service area who can't afford the prescription drugs through the Medication Access Program of Portsmouth
  • Training  volunteers through Hospice Volunteers of Portsmouth

Major Gift Initiatives and Philanthropic Priorities

  • Care-A-Van: The uninsured families who use our Care-A-Vans are sometimes homeless, often in transitional living conditions and always underserved. Our ability to establish and maintain trust and credibility with vulnerable populations puts us in a unique position to serve as a holistic gateway to access health care.  Give Now
