college of nursing

Since 1961, the Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing has educated and prepared more than 2,200 nurses for successful careers. Students receive excellent instruction in faith-based, patient-centered care and clinical experiences through outreach missions and at award-winning Magnet hospitals.

For the past 13 classes, 100 percent of College of Nursing students have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses the first time, giving the college a No. 1 ranking in the nation. Over the past six semesters, 100 percent of College of Nursing BSN graduates have secured nursing positions within six months of graduation. Ninety percent of our graduates are hired into the Bon Secours system.

Donors help support the college by funding scholarships and the college’s education and clinical innovation initiatives, as well as facility upgrades. Currently, a planned expansion and renovation of the former Westhampton School, adjacent to the St. Mary’s Hospital campus, will accommodate increasing enrollment in a world-class learning environment that will take nursing education into the future.
