David Holland Charlton

President, Episcopal Church Schools Corp.

Since 1998, David Holland Charlton has served as president of the Episcopal Church Schools Corp., which is comprised of six schools and six foundations with an operations budget of $110 million and assets of $400 million. Prior to joining Episcopal Church Schools, he served as student dean at Franklin & Marshall College, assistant vice president for business at The College of William & Mary, vice president for administration and finance at Episcopal Theological Seminary and headmaster of Christchurch School.

Charlton earned a B.A. in American History, a M.Ed. in Counseling and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration —all from The College of William and Mary.

In the community, he has served as board chairman of Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, board chairman of the National Association of Episcopal Schools, trustee for Rappahannock General Hospital, trustee and treasurer for the Virginia Theological Seminary, trustee and treasurer for the Virginia Diocesan Conference Center at Roslyn and treasurer of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.

Charlton is married to Wendy McMahan Charlton. They have two grown sons, Wesley and Connor, and two grandchildren.
