J. Sargeant Reynolds Jr.

Principal, Reynolds Development LLC

In 1985, J. Sargeant “Sarge” Reynolds Jr. began his career at Sovran Bank as a management associate, but left to join his stepfather at Virginia Landmark Corp., a residential and commercial real estate service brokerage firm in Richmond. In fall 1997, he opened RealtiCorp’s MidAtlantic Office, a land development business based out of Greenville, South Carolina. In 2001, Reynolds and three of his cousins joined forces to create Reynolds Development. Reynolds Development owns and has developed more than 650,000 thousand square feet of office and medical office space at Reynolds Crossing. Reynolds Development also developed and owns the 250-room Westin Hotel and Conference Center.

Reynolds has served as president of J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College Foundation and as president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond. He has served as a trustee for St. Joseph’s Villa and is currently a trustee of the University of Virginia College Foundation. He was recently appointed to a five-year term as chairman for the Virginia Racing Commission. Currently in his second run with the Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation, Reynolds also generously served from 1995-2004. He and his wife Margaret have two children, Randy and Jess.
