James M. Wilson

James M. Wilson III is chief energizing officer and founder of Wilson Motivational where he is a personal development and business coach and a professional speaker. As a speaker, his topics on motivation and communication allow him to be in demand by businesses, trade associations, clubs and civic organizations.

Previously, Wilson was with a large financial company (Crestar now SunTrust) where he served as a group executive vice president and human resources director. He retired from that company after more than 25 years in the management of the human resources function.

He is a graduate of the University of Richmond where he holds B.A. and M.S. degrees in psychology and education. He is also a graduate of the executive program at the Colgate Darden Business School at the University of Virginia.

Wilson served on the adjunct faculties of the University College at the University of Richmond, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. Human Resources and supervisory subjects were his specialties.

He has been active in the Society of Human Resources Management, the Metro Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Richmond Retail Merchants Association, the Richmond Area ICF Coaching Association, The Richmond Presidents and Managers Club and the Virginia Chapter of the National Speakers Association.
