Mary Kay Rotert

Board member, Rappahannock General Hospital Foundation Inc.

Mary Kay Rotert serves as a board member for the Rappahannock General Hospital Foundation Inc. She moved to the Northern Neck area in 1994, with her late husband Charles. A native of Pennsylvania, Rotert worked most of her professional life at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She is a nurse practitioner by profession and received her master’s degree in oncology nursing at the University of Virginia. Rotert established two home health care/hospice agencies in Richmond and was a charter board member for the Virginia Association for Hospices.

She has also served on the boards of the River Counties chapter of the American Red Cross, Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club, the Richmond Symphony, the Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts and the Senior Center of Richmond. Rotert served as the 2007-08 president of the Board of Directors at Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club in Kilmarnock, Virginia. She is on the board of Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury and is a volunteer nurse with the Northern Neck Free Clinic.

Rotert served as an editor for Cancer Nursing for 30 years, and currently volunteers at the Northern Neck Free Health Clinic. She joined the Rappahannock General Hospital Foundation board in 2010.
