The Haitian Health Care Ministry Fund
Serving the health care needs of the people of Haiti’s Central Plateau

Our fund seeks to support and expand the scope of health care in Haiti’s Central Plateau and encourage the exchange of information and resources among twinned parishes working in the health care area.

The Foundation has been successful in developing several exciting initiatives in maternal and child health and dental care, and facilitates the work of many twinned parishes in the Diocese of Hinche.  The fund places an emphasis on innovative and practical solutions to the health care challenges in Haiti, and on active partnership with our Haitian brothers and sisters via the Richmond diocesan twinning program.

Assessment of NeedsAssessment of Health Care Needs

The Foundation collaborates with Caritas/Hinche whose mission includes agriculture, health care, and micro-credit programs and women’s rights. Caritas/Hinche has a diocesan Health Committee with representatives of clinics in remote areas of the Central Plateau as well as representatives of those Haitian parishes with health care components.

You can help change that through the Haitian Health Care Ministry Fund (HHCMF) and its partnership with the Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation.

Thanks to a recent generous donation, HHCMF’s new matching grant program aims to train more qualified midwives and health care workers to make Haiti’s Central Plateau a safer place to come into the world.
