Giving to Bon secours maryview medical center

Maryview Hospital sprung up at a time when there was a critical shortage of hospital beds at the end of World War II. In 1945, Maryview Hospital opened its doors with government funds and began to serve the Portsmouth community with compassion and hope.

When Maryview Medical Center became part of the Bon Secours Health System in 1984, it easily adopted the Bon Secours spirit — to bring Good Help to Those in Need®.

Bon Secours Maryview’s employees are committed to providing compassionate health care that contributes to the physical, social, emotional and spiritual well being of those we serve, while respecting the dignity of all persons. This work is supported by the Bon Secours Maryview Foundation. Through the generosity of our donors, the Foundation allows Maryview to offer services to the community that might not otherwise be possible.
