Peter Cleal

Retired principal, Cleal Consulting Group LLC

After spending the first 30 years of his career in the banking industry, Peter B. Cleal formed Cleal Consulting Group in 2001 and retired in 2013 as president and CEO. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, as well as its Graduate School of Bank Management, where he served as president of the Class of 1980 and received an Outstanding Thesis award.

Cleal is a past chairman and board member of the Chesterfield Business Council, past chairman of the James River Advisory Council, past president of the Bon Air-Manchester-Midlothian Lions Club, past president of the Greater Southport Association and is a lifetime member of the University of Virginia Alumni Association. A recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award from Lions International, he has been acknowledged twice by the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors with resolutions honoring his community service. At Bon Secours, Cleal was appointed to the original Community Advisory Board of St. Francis Medical Center and served as its chairman for two years. He then was appointed to the Bon Secours Richmond Health System Joint Hospitals board, for which he also served two years as chairman.
